The Angus-Ferguson Barge

Hanson school along with the following primary schools, SwainHouse, GroveHouse are now the proud owners of the 'Angus Ferguson Barge'.  She is six a year old, 55' x 10'6 wide beam barge and is moored at Swiftcraft moorings, Park Lane, Apperley Bridge, BD10 0NF.  She can host 12 people plus crew on day trips and excursions.   The barge is wheelchair accessible and is fully equipped with all the amenities you would expect at home, including a real coal fire, central heating, gas cooker, all cooking utensils, kettle, disabled toilet and shower room, separate WC, plus life jackets for all ages.  All 240v electrical equipment can be used on the boat, TV & DVD player, computers etc.
