The ICT Department

Within Hanson School, ICT is part of the Faculty of Applied Learning, established in September 2005.  ICT is taught across all age ranges:

·         At Key Stage 3:   Programme of lessons on core functional skills in ICT.  We are introducing  OCR National in Year 8.

·         At Key Stage 4:   (GCSE) OCR National Diploma

·         At Key Stage 5:   Level 2 and Level 3 courses, Applied ‘A’ Level ICT and ‘A’ Level ICT 

The ICT Department benefits from three dedicated computer suites, located at the heart of the school, facilitating the effective teaching and learning of ICT. 

There are presently four members of ICT staff.  Each member of the ICT Department has their own workspace, within the Faculty Office, situated near to the designated computer rooms.
