In 2003 Hanson School formed a partnership with Signature catering Services, a small independent local caterer, who specialises in catering for education.
Based right here in Bradford. Signature Catering have a small portfolio of schools across the Bradford area, and are proud to have been chosen to carry out this important role at Hanson School.
Signature Caterings aim is a simple one, that by working closely with students and Staff, we provide delicious nutritionally balanced food for our students.

This has been achieved by working with our "Focus Food Groups" were representatives from each year group engage in discussion about the food offered within the school. This group helped to pioneer the structure of our menus and the food on offer at lunchtime.
The group helped steer their peers' understanding of the reasoning behind the structure of the menus. The "Focus Food Group" also kept diaries of the food they ate over a two-week period, to help them understand how the food they ate had a direct link to their health and how they felt.
We have also carried out a whole-school food survey, asking students  what dishes they would want to see on the menu and what they thought of the existing catering services from our Breakfast offering through to our Lunch service. The overall response was very positive with many students asking.

All this could not be achieved if it was not for the dedication of the catering team here at Hanson.
This work is of course ongoing and reflects the schools commitment to all aspects of students health

‘Signature Catering Services continually strives to improve the service it provides to students and staff here at Hanson, whilst at the same time maintaining good value for money and offering a wide choice of food for purchase.
Signature Catering Services prides itself on providing consistently high quality food for a number of schools within Bradford.  The school provides mid-morning break/snacks and lunch for students and staff daily, as well as catering for a variety of functions, both in the school throughout the course of the school year.
I am convinced that a good diet is one of the key factors in making Students more receptive to learning and ultimately leading to better exam results’.

Signature Caterings exciting concept aims to offer an excellent quality range of both traditional and modern healthy meals, which meets the needs of our young people during an active school day. Our core food offering is designed to reflect the seasonality of food and where ever possible these goods are sourced locally from our supply partners.
