A3 - Working Students
(most students fall into this category)
This is still a positive
grade. They perform at an acceptable level and cause no
real worries. They can be challenged to achieve A1 or A2.
They need to be told what they have to do in the specific
subject to achieve these levels.
Fundamentally, this grade
shows there can be improvement. However, students should
still feel good about themselves. They should be encouraged
to build on their success.
Working Students usually:
·
Meet or work
toward their targets.
·
Arrive on time
to school and lessons.
·
Have 93%+
attendance record in your subject area (should your child
have a diagnosed medical complaint where their attendance is
affected they will fall into this group).
·
Come fully
equipped for all lessons – journal, pen, pencil, PE kit etc.
·
Give a quality
audience to teachers and other students and follow the ABC
Code.
·
Complete
tasks/work to the best of their ability.
·
Hand in
homework on time.
·
Take part
successfully in group work.
·
Contribute to
whole class discussions.
·
Think about
their learning and what they need to do next.
Sometimes their behaviour
stops their own learning and that of other students. They
don’t always seem to enjoy their learning. They should aim
to be a promising student by the next set of grades. |
