Text Box: Entry Requirements - 5 grade A-C at GCSE

GCE Applied ICT awards are part of a new range of vocationally focused GCEs.

These new awards incorporate an extremely wide range of AS and A2 Level units. They are flexibly structured to give candidates plenty of choice allowing Students to design a course which compliments their personal aptitudes, interests and
ambitions.

At AS GCE Level, Students study 6 units over the year, including 3
mandatory units, one of which is an external exam followed by a choice of three
further units:

 problem solving.
software development.
communicating with compilers and programming.

In the second year there is another mandatory unit which is externally assessed by portfolio and a choice of interactive multimedia products, publishing, artwork and
imaging and developing and creating websites.

At GCE Level, single (six units) and double (twelve units) awards are available. Grades are awarded from A-E for both single awards and AA-EE for both double awards.
