Text Box: Entry Requirements  -  5 grade A-C at GCSE.
The specifications of this course offer a balance of Physical and Human Geography with Optional Issue based themes.  Investigations and Studies form an integral part of the course whilst many of the Key Skills can be delivered.

Units in Year 12 A/S
Paper 1—Physical Environments which would include work on rivers, coasts and hazards—January exam.
Paper 2—Human Environments which would involve population characteristics, settlement patterns, population movements.
Paper 3—Geographical Investigation based upon some time “in the field” and practical techniques. Examinations in papers 2 and 3 in June.

Units in Year 13 A2
Paper 4—Options in Physical Geography. Atmospheric systems and glacial systems.
Paper 5– Options in Human Geography. Rural—urban relationships, development process.
Paper 6-Synoptic Geography.  Connections between different aspects of the  whole course.
Examinations in all those topics takes place in June.
